Through a historical sluice the ‘Yellow Belly’ sails to the rural eastern part of Oudewater. Sailing on the Grote Gracht, we then visit the town hall and the artwork ‘Naiads’ to return through the beautiful river Lange Linschoten to the center of Oudewater.
The Lock Cruise (Schutvaert) departs from the dock in front of the Tourist Information Point, where you can buy your tickets.
The crossing time is about 1 hour. There will be sailed with a skipper/guide on board.
Tickets and reservations
Tickets are available via the online booking page or at the Tourist Information Point Oudewater.
It is also possible to reserve a Lock Cruise as a group. Ask for the possibilities at the TIP office in Oudewater 0348-561628 or mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A booked Lock Cruise can be (partially) canceled up to 24 hours before departure at the latest, but we charge € 10, – reservation and administration costs. If you have not paid yet, we will send you an invoice for these costs. If you have paid, we will deduct this amount from the amount to be refunded. In the event of very bad weather, death or serious illness, the (entire) reservation can be canceled free of charge.

1 to 30 April: no Lock Cruises
1 May to 30 June: departures on Thursday at 1.30 and 3.00 pm.
1 July to 31 August: departures on Tuesdays at 1.30 and 3.00 pm.
1 September to 31 October: departures on Thursday at 1.30 and 3.00 pm.
On Koningsdag (Kingsday) no regular trips take place i.v. cruises in relation to the Orange Committee.
On Saturday 30 June, during the Heksenfestijn (Fest of Witches), no waterways will take place. the closure of the port.
