Is there a better way imaginable than to discover a city from the water? Discover the rich history and the monumental buildings of Oudewater, whilst sailing through the canals of the historic town and the Hollandse IJssel.
Per whisperboat the ‘Yellow Belly’ and with a special guide on board you can enjoy the history and cultural heritage from the water and wonder the beauty that Oudewater has to offer.
The Canal Cruise (Grachtenvaert) departs from the dock in front of the Tourist Information Point, where you can buy your tickets. The sailing time is 45 minutes. There will be sailed with a skipper/guide on board.
Tickets and reservations
Tickets are available via the online booking page or at the Tourist Information Point Oudewater.
It is also possible to reserve a Canal Cruise as a group. Ask for the possibilities at the TIP office in Oudewater 0348-561628 or mail to email@example.com.
A booked Canal Cruise can be (partially) cancelled up to 24 hours before departure at the latest, but we charge € 10, – reservation and administration costs. If you have not paid yet, we will send you an invoice for these costs. If you have paid, we will deduct this amount from the amount to be refunded. In the event of very bad weather, death or serious illness, the (entire) reservation can be cancelled free of charge.

1 April to 2 June: departures on Thursday to Sunday at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
3 to 30 June: departures from Wednesday to Sunday at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
1 July to 1 September: departures from Tuesday to Sunday at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
2 to 29 September: departures from Wednesday to Sunday at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
30 September to 27 October: departures from Thursday to Sunday at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
Monday 22 April (Easter Monday): departures at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
Monday 10 June (Whit Monday): departures at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30 pm.
On Koningsdag (Kingsday) no regular trips take place i.v. cruises in relation to the Orange Committee.
On Saturday 15 June, during the Heksenfestijn (Fest of Witches), no waterways will take place. the closure of the port.
